I think I saw a comment (from Yonik?) asking that very question, so perhaps
it'll "just happen".
I confess though, that I'm not going to take the time to digest this right
now...
I was going to look a bit more thoroughly at this patch (I just glanced at the
diff file), but now
I'll let that go until after SOLR-6810. One question I had but didn't pursue
about this patch
was whether docValues fields were returned on the second pass or not.
That said, I'll wait for all the dust to settle re: SOLR-6810 too.
