As some folks may have noticed, i started a page a while back to try and
audit all of the "big" things that needed changed in the ref guide related
to the new "bin/solr" and example->server changes that will be coming in
5.0 (above and beyond the usual "new feature in changes, so let's add
it to the doc" work that happens just before release)...

A few people have already been helping out on the edits needed, but one
area i'd like to ask for particula help is from omeone (*cough* miller)
who understands the HdfsDirectoryFactory. The wiki page about using SOlr
with HDFS needs to have it's examples updated to play nicely with
bin/solr and the existing configsets ...

* still has refrences to start.jar – needs to expalin how to do this using
bin/solr
* has refrences to "the default configuration files" ... but i think
this only applies to the techproducts example? the basic_configs &
data_driven_configs were simplified to not include the kitchen sink of
every possible option, so these may not worth there.
If you could help out with testing & editing this page (or post comments
with suggested edits based on testing) that would be apprecaited...
