[~shalinmangar] and [[email protected]]: any thoughts? I still think we
should move to the newer state with 5.0, though I'm a bit on the fence as
this'd be a last minute switch but again it'd be easier to drop the older
stateFormat as there'd be more people using the newer stateFormat.
