Hoss Man updated SOLR-7186:
---------------------------
Description:
The red banner text for notification of coreInit ERRORS on the Solr admin GUI
is nice, but there needs to be some way to make it disappear after the admin
feels the issue has been resolved.
the workaround for this is to manually hit the /admin/cores handler using
action=UNLOAD or action=RELOAD with the affected core name (depending on what
the user is trying to do) but having a UI element for this would be helpful.

was:The red banner text for notification of some ERRORS on the Solr admin GUI
is nice, but there needs to be some way to make it disappear after the admin
feels the issue has been resolved.
Summary: Admin UI should offer a way to "clear" core init errors by
offering some mechanism to either RELOAD or UNLOAD the core name (was: Errors
reported in GUI should clear - either manually or by taking action to fix them)
clarified summary & description since there is a workaround
currently, core names that had init failures do not appear on the Core Admin UI
screen so the user can't use those existing UI buttons - perhaps they should be
listed on this screen, with the error details in place of the core summary
stats, and only the unload & reload buttons available -- then the main page
error text could just link to this screen for each failed core?
