Noble - did you consider how this change affects the JSON section as a whole?
You've now using the convinience path /update/json/docs in an example, 2 sub-sections before those convinience paths are introduced. the strucutre was setup so that the basics of sending JSON were explained first *then* the convininece paths and simple forms were introduced. if folks think we should flip that (show the simple examples, then elaborate) that's fine -- but your quick hack to the page just makes it more confusing - first we tell the user that to add a single doc they need json.command=false, then in the very first example where we add a single doc, we *don't* use that paraam, and then we wait until a few sections later we explain why it works. the concepts either needs to be presented 1-2-3-4, or 4-3-2-1 ... you've got it all jumbled up now. : Date: Thu, 16 Apr 2015 08:42:00 +0000 (UTC) : From: "Noble Paul (Confluence)" <[email protected]> : Reply-To: [email protected] : To: [email protected] : Subject: [CONF] Apache Solr Reference Guide > Uploading Data with Index : Handlers : : [IMAGE] : Noble Paul edited the page: : : [IMAGE] UPLOADING DATA WITH INDEX HANDLERS : : Comment: Eliminate the json.command option , which confuses the users : : View Online · Like · View Changes · Add Comment : Stop watching space · Manage Notifications : This message was sent by Atlassian Confluence 5.0.3, Team Collaboration Software : -Hoss http://www.lucidworks.com/
