Uwe Schindler closed LUCENE-1403.
---------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

The old StandardTokenizer behaviour was deprecated in Lucene 3.1 and replaced
by a new one doing [Unicode Standard Annex
#29|http://unicode.org/reports/tr29/] segmentation. The deprecated code will
not get any fixes anymore.

> Project: Lucene - Java
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: contrib/analyzers
> Affects Versions: 2.3.1, 2.3.2

> As of 2.3.1 the documentation for the StandardTokenizer states that it
> "Recognizes email addresses and internet hostnames as one token."
> However hostnames such as "my-host.com" are recognized as two tokens "my" and
> "host.com".
> Any host with a dash in the name is not recognized properly.
