[~erickerickson], you're much more familiar with the CoreContainer code due to
your LotsOfCores work. Does [~edwinjhlee]'s patch look good, or would you
tackle it another way?
I have started working on getting it incorporated, but I am willing to step
aside and let you handle it if that interests you.
