Please start these kinds of discussions on the user's list, see:
http://lucene.apache.org/solr/resources.html. When you do post there, include
the log file for the downed node. We try to reserve JIRAs for known code
issues, not usage problems. I suspect that if you look at your log files for
the various Solr nodes (NOT the indexing program) you'll see something more
enlightening.
