As discussed before on the dev-owner list (for the specific purpose of not distracting the entire dev community with mailing list management issues -- but alas, since it keeps coming up here i'll repeat) the problem is that the [email protected] emails are only using "[email protected]" as the *From* addr -- which is largely meaningless in modern mail software these days. Every individual email "From: [email protected]" is usually a completley distinct "Return-Path" header... Return-Path: <0000014e08d81dad-8b6a2b3e-7306-4f0f-8480-3ffd33fa6b6e-000...@amazonses.com> ... Return-Path: <0000014e0b76b74f-08d35314-c084-4b56-a7f8-afe735e37bb1-000...@amazonses.com> ... Return-Path: <0000014e0b9c41d9-1f801c13-62e9-4905-8515-11dfe3ece20e-000...@amazonses.com> ... ...these addresses are what get compared against hte subscription lists (and auot-alowed whitelists).
