Adrien Grand updated LUCENE-6305:
---------------------------------
    Attachment: LUCENE-6305.patch

Good call Jack.

bq. the order that clauses are added will not impact either the results of the
query, their order,

This is true.

bq. or the performance of the execution of the query

This is mostly true today and should be completely true once LUCENE-6276 is in.

Here is a new patch with improved javadocs. I also improved equals to ignore
duplicates for FILTER and MUST_NOT clauses since they don't matter, and made
the hashCode() cached.

> BooleanQuery.equals should ignore clause order

> BooleanQuery.equals is sensitive to the order in which clauses have been
> added. So for instance "+A +B" would be considered different from "+B +A"
> although it generates the same matches and scores.
