If these two fixes are combined, a leader will be completely out of the loop 
for a recovering node. So there will be no third-party. The question does arise 
that how will a replica recover if the rate of index is much higher than the 
recovering node is getting the updates from the replica. If the rate of 
indexing is that high, the leader will actually not be able to apply the 
updates anyway as it is currently implemented because the recovering replica is 
 too busy to respond to the leader's update request.
