Gregory Chanan updated SOLR-7928:
---------------------------------
Attachment: SOLR-7928.patch
Updated patch.
Uses HdfsTestUtil for getting the configuration.
Adds some javadoc that was failing on precommit.
CheckHdfsIndexTest.testDeletedDocs fails pretty regularly for me, though never
if I just run it alone. That suggests prior tests are leaving crud around in
the Hdfs Directory. Perhaps we should create a new directory for each test?

> CheckIndex is very useful for testing an index for corruption. However, it
> can only work with an index on an FSDirectory, meaning that if you need to
> check an Hdfs Index, then you have to download it to local disk (which can be
> very large).
> We should have a way to natively check index on hdfs for corruption.
