mmmm David, can you explain why it was not working and what was your difficulty 
?
The processor is going to assign the class to the document and set the field in 
the Solr document.
The field set is the classField name configured in the solrconfig.
It is a pretty simple configuration, could you explain what went wrong ?
In this way we can improve the documentation.
