Solr devs,

I've seen some warnings on the Solr Wiki about staying under a 32G heap to
take advantage of compressed pointers. Has anybody that has gone over the
32GB soft limit (but still under 64GB) played with increasing the byte
alignment? For example -XX:ObjectAlignmentInBytes=16

I'm wondering if anybody has seen this make an impact on their heap sizes
and/or GC tuning. There have been several issues about Lucene correctly
estimating RAM usage, but that's not really what I'm after.

Thanks,
Mike
