I did one of the project where i crawled the data through Nutch-1.0 and did indexing to Apache solr to establish a search engine with proper UI like autosuggest,spellcheck running on tomcat server .
Now we are extending the project to included novel fuzzy queries usign OWA operator like "at least half", "as many as possible" etc...this is different from usual boolean search. We are refering to a paper presented by our respected Prof. M.M. Sufyan Beg.
