Hi, A rewrite <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-8241> of Solr's cache using a concurrent and more efficient algorithm has been in limbo. While there has been support for adopting these changes, there has not been a champion to evaluate and (if accepted) merge the patch. To move forward I believe a Solr expert would want to (1) upgrade the dependency (already present), (2) revise the code, (3) benchmark, (4) merge if desirable.
