Ishan Chattopadhyaya commented on SOLR-9255: -------------------------------------------- Nothing has changed in terms of design that would imply AUTHENTICATION_CLIENT_CONFIGURER and SOLR_AUTHENTICATION_OPTS will not work. Maybe some bug has crept in. FWIW, Basic auth username/password can be passed via bin/solr script as per SOLR-8048. However, I think this is master only and not released yet. > Start Script Basic Authentication > --------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-9255 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-9255 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Bug > Security Level: Public(Default Security Level. Issues are Public) > Components: Authentication > Affects Versions: 6.1 > Reporter: Martin Löper > > I configured SSL and BasicAuthentication with Rule-Based-Authorization. > I noticed that since the latest changes from 6.0.1 to 6.1.0 I cannot pass the > Basic Authentication Credentials to the Solr Start Script anymore. For the > previous release I did this via the bin/solr.in.sh shellscript. > What has happened with the SOLR_AUTHENTICATION_CLIENT_CONFIGURER and > SOLR_AUTHENTICATION_OPTS parameters? Are they still in use or is there a new > way to pass basic auth credentials on the command-line? -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@lucene.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@lucene.apache.org
