Alan Woodward created SOLR-9571:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Time-allowed detection logic in LBHttpSolrClient should
return a fake partial results response
Key: SOLR-9571
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-9571
Project: Solr
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
Reporter: Alan Woodward
See https://jenkins.thetaphi.de/job/Lucene-Solr-6.x-MacOSX/435/
LBHttpSolrClient checks before each forward attempt that it hasn't already
overstepped the time allowed for the request. On expiry, it ought to return a
fake response containing a 'partial response' header, as if the timeout had
been hit on a responding Solr node; at the moment, it just throws a 'no live
servers available' exception, which is misleading.
