jan: I didn't test it out, but your patch looks awesome!
only problem is that the final ERROR when no supported distro is found still
tries to refer to {{$proc_version}} ... maybe just make that {{"\nERROR: Unable
to auto-detect your *NIX distribution!\nYou'll need to setup Solr as a service
manually using the documentation provided in the Solr Reference Guide.\n"}} ?
