Jan Høydahl updated SOLR-9640:
------------------------------
    Attachment: SOLR-9640.patch

New patch
* Added new test {{BasicAuthDistributedTest extends
BaseDistributedSearchTestCase}} to actually validate the PKI stuff
* This also involved adding a basicAuth aware {{query()}} method to
{{BaseDistributedSearchTestCase}}

If no opinions to do things differently from you guys, I'll commit this to
master in a few days and continue to make SSL work in standalone mode :-)

> Support PKI authentication in standalone mode

> While working with SOLR-9481 I managed to secure Solr standalone on a
> single-node server. However, when adding
> {{&shards=localhost:8081/solr/foo,localhost:8082/solr/foo}} to the request, I
> get 401 error. This issue will fix PKI auth to work for standalone, which
> should automatically make both sharding and master/slave index replication
> work.
