I don't (though it seems I am doing it right now), but I think having a
consistent start and perhaps a note in the comment about using full x.y.z
format for tools' sake will go a long way there. And if our own internal tool
relies on x.y.z (that's the goal, right?) and breaks on build for the other
format, then people will adjust their commits.
But, like I said, I am happy to do the cleanup and - if I am proven wrong later
- I will not complain.
