Attachment: SOLR-2501.patch
first draft patch which handles relative/absolute file paths to retrieve UIMA
descriptors. I didn't use the Solr home directory as base for relative paths so
the base of relative URLs depends on environment.
I also introduced some minor refactorings to improve code cleanness and error
debugging.
