Jan Høydahl commented on SOLR-10089:
------------------------------------
bq. $ bin/solr stop -a
This should be {{-all}}, the -a hangs here as well, for some reason
My question was rather, have you tried reproducing on a clean new Solr?
Did you ever try {{solr start -c}} instead of {{solr restart -c}}?
Guess the restart command should be more graceful and print a nice msg if solr
is NOT running. Instead it looks like it just believes everything is fine and
attempts to start Solr again with some bogous params?
> bin/solr script refuses to start due to PID file

> The bin/solr script believes Solr is still running due to the PID file being
> present. Solr was forcefully killed so the PID file is still there, but the
> service is obviously not running.
