project. The Tika dependencies are a nightmare to maintain for Apache projects
that embed Tika.
I would *love* to have a bright line between parsers that are well-behaved,
pure java, and Apache license compatible, and parsers that place special
requirements on Tika users. Maybe a separate jar for the latter?
