This patch fixes the problem in {{SpatialHeatmapFacets#distribModifyRequest}}
which is called by FacetComponent.
(this patch includes SOLR-10499 which will be committed before this one)
I'm going to split out the new utility method I added and related refactoring
to another issue to be linked to this one momentarily.
