Cassandra Targett commented on SOLR-10670:
------------------------------------------

bq. Now the "Home" on top of sidebar will be highlighted on the frontpage, and
when another page is selected, the "Home" will remain on top with a grey
background, clickable as any other sidebar element.

I think this works well - it looks like the title of the sidebar, and I
wouldn't think it was supposed to be clickable if I didn't know it was from
reading this ticket.

It could be like it was - "Apache Solr Reference Guide", which we could hard
code into that spot - but another option is to use some of what you've done to
integrate it into the sidebar but change it to be a title for the sidebar that
reads something like "Topics Covered" or similar heading. Personally I'd prefer
to just make it a bit of white space - a sidebar doesn't need a title, and the
action of getting home is already accomplished by the "Solr Ref Guide" link in
the top navigation. We really don't need another clickable avenue right below
it, IMO.

> A few suggestions for the new ref-guide HTML format:
> * Favicon is not displayed, image missing in folder
> * Topnav link to community should point to
> http://lucene.apache.org/solr/community.html
> * Replace "Solr News" link with a "Solr Website" link - we should link to the
> website
> * Instead of pointint the Source Code link to cryptic apache GIT, point to
> https://lucene.apache.org/solr/community.html#version-control where people
> get more context and can also find the GitHub link
