Key: LUCENE-3162
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-3162
Project: Lucene - Java
Issue Type: Task
Components: general/build
Reporter: Robert Muir
Fix For: 3.3, 4.0
NOTICE.txt refers to .jar files and the corresponding LICENSE files in various
lib/ directories, which are not included in the binary archives. Should we
have a way to automatically strip these things from the source NOTICE.txt to
form a release NOTICE.txt?
On the other hand, I think its confusing we don't include these jars (or at
least a list of what the dependencies are) in our binary archives.
Currently a user has *no way to know* what any given lucene contrib depends
upon, as we don't include them or even document them. See LUCENE-3009 for this
bug.
