Most Linux distros have [moved from init.d to
systemd|https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systemd#Adoption_and_reception], which
means that to use {{install_solr_service.sh}} on e.g. RHEL you first need to
install some packages to add back init.d support.
Propose to get rid of init.d script and replace it with a systemd script. Or
alternatively keep support for the old in parallell and let installer decide
which to use.
