Adrien also pointed me to MappingCharFilter, which behaves similarly to
TrimFilter, and implements MTAC, so I think there's precedent here.
Here's a patch adding MTAC to TrimFilterFactory, and expanding the
MultiTermAwareComponent javadocs a bit to help future implementers.
