Thanks [~dweiss], makes sense.
I included the following in the Solr upgrade notes:
bq. SOLR-12861: Added a Solr factory for ByteBuffersDirectory, which will
replace deprecated RAMDirectory in a future version of Solr.
Should I instead name 9.0 here as the version in which RAMDirectory will be
removed?
