In Java9 they changed the "normalization" of paths when the FilePermissions are
compared. There is no longer the canonical path be calculated (for performance
reasons, so the path is only made absolute but not canonicalized - if there is
a symlink bad things may happen). Not sure what exactly is happening here, to
me it also looks fine.
Did you test this locally with Java 9+ during your development or did you only
use Java 8?
