[~krisden] - the way to check if this is still an issue would be to revert -the
previous "workaround"- SOLR-7289 commit that causes these leaked threads to be
ignored in HDFS related tests if they still exist.
See {{public class BadHdfsThreadsFilter implements ThreadFilter}} ant the logic
it contains, along with the various comments and linked issues.
we shouldn't be resolving this issue unles/untill we can confidently remove the
logic that "ignores' those leaked threads.

*EDIT* Just realized that the commit mentioned in the comments above wasn't the
commit that added HdfsThreadLeakTest, so it's not obvious it was a workaround
for this issue unless you grep the code for "SOLR-5007"
