Kevin Risden commented on SOLR-13294:
-------------------------------------

So I have no idea why this doesn't fail on Linux as well.

Reading TestSQLHandler, it looks like documents are indexed. The assertion
looks like it fails since documents don't come back in the order the test
thinks it does. The output shows id=7 being the first document instead of 8.
Since there are 2 shards the different _version_ could be out of order I think.
So I think that explains the first assertion error.

The reproduction later is puzzling though it is almost like the base class
isn't setting up the schema correctly? Since the first query is the one that
fails about docvalues.

> _Windows_ jenkins builds frequently - but _not always_ - fail on
> {{TestSQLHandler}} @ L236
> In cases where a windows jenkins build finds a failing seed for
> {{TestSQLHandler}}, and the same jenkins build attempts to reproduce using
> that seed, it reliably encounters a *different* failure earlier in the test
> (related to docValues being missing from a sort field).
> These seeds do not fail for me when attempted on a Linux machine, and my own
> attempts @ beasting on linux hasn't turned up any similar failures.
> Here's an example from jenkins - the exact same pattern has occured in other
> windows jenkins builds on other branches at the exact same asserts..
