This issue is one small piece of my plan in SOLR-11872 to substantially
refactor our testing infrastructure (code). I just want to link it. Doing
SOLR-11872 is one of my goals this year. Before we have tests with a
SolrClient, it's hard to do this issue since the mechanism of update is
different. Once we have that, then we can randomize the underlying update to
use JavaBin/JSON/XML.
