The 7.7.2 release is pushed and has made it to 91% of the mirrors. The website has been updated to reflect the new version, please see if it looks ok: https://lucene.apache.org/core/downloads.html https://lucene.apache.org/solr/downloads.html https://lucene.apache.org/core/corenews.html https://lucene.apache.org/solr/news.html
Note that I have also removed the latest-redir pages, and all download buttons shall now point to /downloads.html. I also put in place a .htaccess redirect for the latest-redir URLs of different flavours, all now pointing to the downloads pages. If you see anything fishy, please shout out now. I'll hold off announcing the release on the lists until tomorrow CET. -- Jan Høydahl, search solution architect Cominvent AS - www.cominvent.com > 29. mai 2019 kl. 23:34 skrev Jan Høydahl <[email protected]>: > > While the voting is in progress, now is a good time to take another look at > the draft ReleaseNotes and comment/edit. > I selected 6 bugs to mention (out of 28) for Solr. > If anyone want to mention one or more of the Lucene bugs, go ahead and add! > > https://wiki.apache.org/lucene-java/ReleaseNote772 > <https://wiki.apache.org/lucene-java/ReleaseNote772> > https://wiki.apache.org/solr/ReleaseNote772 > <https://wiki.apache.org/solr/ReleaseNote772> > > -- > Jan Høydahl, search solution architect > Cominvent AS - www.cominvent.com <http://www.cominvent.com/> > >> 28. mai 2019 kl. 12:58 skrev Jan Høydahl <[email protected] >> <mailto:[email protected]>>: >> >> Now that 8.1.1 vote has passed, I'll proceed with the 7.7.2 release. >> >> -- >> Jan Høydahl, search solution architect >> Cominvent AS - www.cominvent.com <http://www.cominvent.com/> >> >>> 21. mai 2019 kl. 16:13 skrev Uwe Schindler <[email protected] >>> <mailto:[email protected]>>: >>> >>> Please wait for: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-8807 >>> <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-8807> >>> >>> This seems to be important for Apache Foundation, although we use >>> checksums, so it’s not a security issue for Lucene/Solr. >>> >>> Uwe >>> >>> ----- >>> Uwe Schindler >>> Achterdiek 19, D-28357 Bremen >>> https://www.thetaphi.de <https://www.thetaphi.de/> >>> eMail: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> >>> >>> From: Jan Høydahl <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> >>> Sent: Thursday, May 16, 2019 6:20 PM >>> To: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> >>> Subject: Re: Lucene/Solr 7.7.2 >>> >>> Here is the first draft of the release notes for Lucene and Solr 7.7.2 >>> >>> https://wiki.apache.org/lucene-java/ReleaseNote772 >>> <https://wiki.apache.org/lucene-java/ReleaseNote772> >>> https://wiki.apache.org/solr/ReleaseNote772 >>> <https://wiki.apache.org/solr/ReleaseNote772> >>> >>> I see no reason for choosing some of the 25 Solr bug fixes to highlight. >>> Some of them are high imact and some are security related, should we >>> perhaps list the security related ones only (no CVEs but still important >>> ones) >>> >>> Feel free to edit if you find copy/paste mistakes or if you have opinions >>> on what bigfixes to highlight >>> >>> -- >>> Jan Høydahl, search solution architect >>> Cominvent AS - www.cominvent.com <http://www.cominvent.com/> >>> >>> >>>> 16. mai 2019 kl. 17:38 skrev Jan Høydahl <[email protected] >>>> <mailto:[email protected]>>: >>>> >>>> So now backCompat indices for 6.6.6 are pushed, smoketester should be >>>> happy. >>>> >>>> I have also backported these JIRAs, ready to push to branch_7_7, currently >>>> running tests: >>>> >>>> SOLR-13229: Cleanup replicasMetTragicEvent after all exceptions >>>> SOLR-13352: Remove risk of deadlock/threadleak when shutting down an >>>> Overseer(TriggerThread) >>>> SOLR-13366: Clarify 'Invalid stage name' warning logging in >>>> AutoScalingConfig >>>> SOLR-13386: OverseerTaskQueue#remove should not throw an exception when >>>> no node exists after... >>>> SOLR-13398: Move log "Processing SSL Credential Provider chain" from INFO >>>> to DEBUG to prevent... >>>> LUCENE-8720: fix int overflow in NameIntCacheLRU >>>> SOLR-13252: Fix an NPE when setting a "policy" property for an existing >>>> collection. >>>> SOLR-13254: Correct message that is logged in solrj's ConnectionManager >>>> when an exception… >>>> >>>> I see no BLOCKERS, and the only JIRA I have on my list for potential >>>> backport now is >>>> SOLR-12833: Use timed-out lock in DistributedUpdateProcessor >>>> >>>> Ishan, Hoss, Andrzej, Smiley, you recently worked with it, what is your >>>> evaluation of whether it should go in 7.7.2? >>>> >>>> -- >>>> Jan Høydahl, search solution architect >>>> Cominvent AS - www.cominvent.com <http://www.cominvent.com/> >>>> >>>> >>>>> 14. mai 2019 kl. 15:38 skrev Ishan Chattopadhyaya >>>>> <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>>: >>>>> >>>>>> I would like to backport SOLR-13410, as without this the ADDROLE of >>>>>> "overseer" is effectively broken.
