I reviewed and overall looks good. I added a facet section to src/site/**/lucene-contrib/index.xml and checked in to 3x and 3.4 branch. However, I fail to run Forrest on my computer, complains about validation stuff. I will try to resolve this, but I don't know what happened - it used to work in the past with no problems.
I don't know if we should spin another RC because of this change, but the facets feature are almost invisible currently.
