Hi, The main branch has been bumped to require a minimum of Java 23. The motivation and discussion for this is in https://github.com/apache/lucene/issues/14229
If you develop Lucene, you’re going to need to set JAVA_HOME to JDK 23 for build and test. The 10x branch still requires a minimum of Java 21, so take care with backports!
