Hi everyone, Many thanks for the invite! I'm delighted to accept, and look forward to future Lucene development.
I live in Cambridge, UK, and work as a software engineer, mostly in Java and C#. My career has been working for various Cambridge-based software companies over the past 20 years, more recently at a Fintech startup where I developed their distributed processing engine. I joined Elastic ~3 years ago, and a few months ago started working on vector search, which lead me to Lucene. Having worked only for private companies for my career, I've always wanted to work on a full OSS project, and so I've been eagerly delving into Lucene and all that it can do. Outside work my main hobbies are playing music (playing the 'cello as a folk and session musician) and computer gaming, when my young family spares the time of course.
