I'd like to ask for a maintainer review of PR #16446:

The PR fixes two related MultiFieldQueryParser bugs:
* #16441 — incorrect handling of per-field boosts with AND as the
default operator:

* #16443 — the default operator not being correctly honored between term
positions:
https://github.com/apache/lucene/issues/16443
The PR has already received a first review from Egor Potemkin (epotyom),
and I've addressed the feedback.
As part of the fix, QueryParserBase.addMultiTermClauses is no longer
used and has therefore been removed. The removal is documented in the
changes entry.
For the 10.5 backport, this method would need to be deprecated rather
than removed. If the maintainers would like to backport the fix, I'm
happy to take care of this in a separate PR.
Could a maintainer please take a look at the PR and let me know if there
are any remaining concerns or if it can move forward?
