Sami Siren commented on SOLR-3298:

bq. What's the new theory? Is this just the class to use, all by itself? If so,
I can submit a patch to the doc.

The successor of CommonsHttpSolrServer goes by name "HttpSolrServer" in trunk.

> LBHttpSolrServer javadoc refers to nonexistent (?) CommonsHttpSolrServer

>                 Key: SOLR-3298
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-3298
>             Project: Solr
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: clients - java
>    Affects Versions: 4.0
>            Reporter: Benson Margulies
>
> The javadoc for the LB server begins:
> {quote}
> LBHttpSolrServer or "LoadBalanced HttpSolrServer" is a load balancing wrapper
> to CommonsHttpSolrServer.
> {quote}
> But that class is no longer in the source tree, at least under that name.
> What's the new theory? Is this just the class to use, all by itself? If so, I
> can submit a patch to the doc.
