So I guess as I look at things, this would be my first instinct:
Rename example to server.
Make a new root level folder called examples -> put the other solrhome examples
there (an example with 2 cores if we still want it, the DIH example)
Move exampledocs under examples as well?
Giving:
{noformat}
contrib
dist
docs
examples
solrhomes (or?)
exampledocs
server
{noformat}
That clearly separates the example stuff out and makes it easily findable -
then you are left with a server that looks more like what it is - our default
setup that people build off rather than merely an example.
