Jack Krupansky commented on SOLR-3914:
--------------------------------------
That IS the correct URL for a Solr instance running locally. The idea is that
you install Solr locally (running with its embedded Jetty container) and then
read the tutorial, executing the example commands as you go. Those links should
take you to Solr in your browser.
> Solr 3.6.1 Tutorial links to http://localhost:8983

> Key: SOLR-3914
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-3914
> Project: Solr
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: documentation
> Affects Versions: 3.6.1
> Reporter: Marcel Becker
> Priority: Minor
>
> In your documentation (tutorial) at
> http://lucene.apache.org/solr/api-3_6_1/doc-files/tutorial.html
> several links point at
> http://localhost:8983/solr/
> I'm totally new to your project, thus, I cannot guess what the correct URL
> would be.
> Thanks a lot for the documentation :)
