David Smiley resolved LUCENE-1921.
----------------------------------

       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: (was: 4.2)
                   4.0
Assignee: David Smiley (was: Chris Male)

I'm marking this as fixed against v4.0. Lucene spatial in 4.0 is completely
different, and I don't believe there is a bug in large radiuses. If there is,
please provide an example.

> Spinoff from LUCENE-1781.
> If you do a very large (eg 100000 miles) radius search then the
> lat/lng bound box wraps around the entire earth and all points should
> be accepted. But this fails today (many points are rejected). It's
> easy to see the issue: edit TestCartesian, and insert a very large
> miles into either testRange or testGeoHashRange.
