As you might have guessed, I had not looked into the new core discovery config.
Once you mentioned NamedList, everything sorta clicked - that probably makes
writing the code REALLY easy, which is a reasonable goal. As long as the
syntax checking is good and will throw errors when something is mistyped,
having code that's easy to write and understand is all good.
