What Uwe means (referring to an IRC conversation where I told him what I did) is that I cloned an older version of the job (created by Uwe for the 4.3 branch), and it was not kept up-to-date like the branch_4x job. I think the fix for this systemic staleness issue is to only clone active (and actively maintained) jobs. In this specific instance, I should have cloned the branch_4x job instead of the 4.3 branch job.
