Just in case this ever helps track this down. The other day I had a situation in which I could NOT run a successful test end-to-end (while trying to proof SOLR-4817). Usually one of the distrib tests would fail. Not always the same one. And executing with the seed wouldn't fail. It was only trying to run the full suite.
Rebooted my machine and all was well, no failures at all. So how the my environment is getting whacked such that running the full test suite fails is a mystery... FWIW, Erick
