I like the idea, but Solr is so vast, and people's use
cases vary so much that I think it would be difficult
to provide a comprehensive overview. It would also
be a headache to maintain, especially if one is to allow
users to add to the index, or tinker with the configuration.

The default setup with Jetty, included in the codebase
is usually a good starting point. Maybe that ought to be
promoted more, as people seem to ask basic questions
on this list that are already addressed there.
