Thanks for the very prompt response. The work around worked fine. The Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration packages I had installed were Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration.Abstractions and Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration.Binder. I have added for the workaround Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration.EnvironmentVariablers.
