Thanks Shad!

I'm really excited to be an Apache Lucene.NET committer. I have wanted to
get involved with the open source community for some time and then I
discovered Lucene.NET. Wow! Lucene.NET is such an amazing search library.
The more I used it the more I felt the pull to get involved in the
Lucene.NET community.

I've been fond of computers and writing software since I bought my first
computer, a Commodore 64, many years ago. I received my Computer Science
Degree at the University of Alaska Fairbanks which was the main campus of
the statewide system where I grew up. Out of University I started my first
Software company in 1988 (dating myself I know), and several months later
my company became one of the first 1000 Apple Certified Developers. Kinda
fun. I'm not sure if that makes me old or somewhat experienced or BOTH I
guess.

I've been doing .NET development since 2001 when it was in beta and I
started working with ASP.NET Core at release candidate 2 stage. I love C#,
vue.js and .NET Core. All are very well thought out technologies and a
pleasure to work with. I mostly do web development (full stack) but do some
desktop dev as well. All my life I've been as interested in business as
software development (entrepreneur!) and so I tend to work at the
intersection of business and technology which is why the Web is such a good
fit for me. I'm particularly interested in marketing, strategy and
sustainability and have held significant positions leading companies and
business units. I earned my MBA for the Univ. of NC and hope to leverage my
marketing background as well as my technical skills for the benefit of
Lucene.NET.

Finally, I'd like to call out a big THANK YOU to Shad Storhaug. He has been
very patient and has taught me so much as I've learned how to contribute the
Apache way. His thoroughness and thoughtfulness make him an ideal leader
and he is great to work with. I am grateful for his help and leadership and
I look forward to participating as an official committer for this project.
No doubt I have tons more to learn and I look forward to the journey.

Cheers!

Subject: Welcome Ron Clabo as Lucene.NET committer

The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Lucene.NET
has invited Ron Clabo to become a committer and we are pleased
to announce that he has accepted.

Ron has contributed to a wide range of areas from code cleanup
to reviewing tests to analyzing and working out the Grouping module
to updating the documentation and website. He rises to the challenge
of whatever task he sets his mind to. Not to mention, he jumps in and
tries to help other users who have questions and/or problems.

Ron, the Lucene tradition is that new committers introduce
themselves with a short bio.

Congratulations and welcome!
