It would be great is we could find a pace at which the Book Club proves
sustainable over the long term, and perhaps bi-weekly is that pace. How about
this variant, though, which may turn out to be approximately bi-weekly, but
still gives us some flexibility?

* Additional ad hoc meetings on other Tuesdays whenever someone volunteers

Learning material well enough to lead a discussion is an effective way to gain
mastery. I agree that we should encourage everyone to take a turn, not just
for the sake of the collective but for the sake of each individual.

Personally, I would encourage potential volunteers to consider material
outside the Book Club's regular reading list. Choosing to lead a session on
the current book is fine (and safe), but if there's some other topic that
fascinates you, run with it -- and I'll do my best to keep up. :)

Grokking ELF symbol export rules is very helpful for understanding some of the
work that Nick did a while back. Dynamic shared objects are an interesting
subject in their own right, but the material is also directly applicable to
Lucy.
